Work With Me

A woman turning to look back in a Marrakech medina street

You take the lead. I do not arrive with a plan for who you should become or a curriculum to move you through. You know your life far better than I do, so most of the time my job is to follow you closely, ask the question that has not been asked yet, and stay with you when it gets uncomfortable rather than steering you somewhere easier.

Not all of it happens through conversation. Some things are hard to say out loud, and some things are not really made of words at all. Alongside talking, I use creative and expressive approaches: drawing, writing, working with images, other ways of reaching something sideways when the front door is shut.

You do not need to be artistic, and nothing you make has to be good. The point is to give a difficult thing another door.

Who I see

You do not need a crisis to be here

I work with adults who want a trusted person to think with. Some arrive with something specific and urgent. Others are not in crisis at all and simply want steady support with what is in front of them. Both are reason enough.

  • Anxiety that shows up in your body before it shows up in your thoughts
  • The same argument, in the same shape, with someone who matters
  • Family expectations you agreed to before you understood what you were agreeing to
  • Grief, including the versions of it that do not look like grief
  • Identity, belonging, and the question of where you actually fit
  • Patterns you can see repeating across generations of your family
  • Feeling far away from yourself, and being unsure when that started

Couples

I also see couples, particularly those who were raised on different defaults. Money, holidays, how close family is meant to be, what privacy means, who gets consulted before a decision. You each have answers to these, and neither of you was ever asked to explain them, because until you met each other they were simply how things are. The problem is rarely that one of you is wrong.

Fit

Whether this is right for you

This is probably a fit

  • You want a trusted person to think with, whether or not you are in crisis
  • You are living between cultures, languages, or families with different rules
  • You have done therapy before and left feeling like you talked in circles
  • You want a real conversation, where I offer what I am seeing and you can push back on it
  • You would rather understand what a pattern was protecting than be told what is wrong with you
  • You suspect a lot of what you believe about yourself was written by other people
  • You are curious about working through art, writing, or journaling as well as talking
  • You are a couple having the same disagreement in different costumes

This is not a fit

  • You are in immediate crisis or need urgent psychiatric care, which requires more support than I can offer
  • You want a diagnosis-first, protocol-driven course of treatment
  • You want someone to tell you what to decide about your marriage, your move, or your family
  • You are looking for medication management, which I cannot provide
  • You need assessment or documentation for court, custody, or immigration purposes
